Next to classic forms of exploitation, the phenomenon have started to involve new sectors in recent years, even though in smaller percentages. The most relevant are: exploitation within illegal economies (such as drug trafficking), illegal adoptions of foreign children, forced marriages and trafficking in organs.
Due to their recent development, research in these areas is still scarce and therefore, the competent organs do not have extensive data.
